Each year, at the end of November, the people of the United States of America celebrate Thanksgiving. On this national holiday, families and friends gather together for the express purpose of thanking God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us.

While it is certainly commendable that such a holiday exists, we should remember God’s gracious provision every day of the year. However, there are times when each of us may remember when we showed our ingratitude toward all that the Lord has provided. We either take His gifts and graces for granted, or we arrogantly demand more from His hand.

Hebrews 13:5 says "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

In Philippians 4:11, Paul said "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."

Are we living a life of gratitude for the numerous spiritual and material blessings our your lives? Why don't we make a list of the most important things God has provided for us and let's spend time today thanking Him for all He has given.
