A Willing Man of God

“What this dying world could use is a willing Man of God Who dares to go against the grain and works without applause; A man who'll raise the shield of Faith, protecting what is pure; Whose love is tough and gentle; a man whose word is sure.”- A Few Good Men by the Gaither Vocal Band.

The first stanza of the Gaither Vocal Band’s song “A Few Good Men” succinctly captures the essence of Pastor Stephen P. Miraflor’s ministry at The Life Church. I have had the pleasure of having Pastor Miraflor be my Pastor for over fifteen years. Over the years, I have learned a few concepts on how to be an excellent Christian through his example. While I have not yet mastered these concepts, I am striving to perfect my walk with God. Here are some concepts, I have ab- sorbed from Pastor Miraflor’s ministry:

The Kingdom of God is driven forward through human agency.

Provide- In order to move the kingdom of God forward, it is important to give financial resources to ensure its growth. However, it is not enough to only contribute money. We ought to give our time and build an environment that is welcoming to guests and members alike.

Protect- The concept of protection does not only apply to an individual’s physical body but also to an individuals’ emotional, spiritual and psychological needs. We must
take steps to ensure that we are a safe place for individual to heal from a hurtful
world. The church is a spiritual hospital.

Pastor/ Influence- As a lay Christian, this doesn’t mean to take the Pastor’s job and find fault in one other and to counsel them. We ought to be an example of living a life that is pleasing to God according to the scriptures. As it says in 1 Peter 3:15 We ought to always be ready to give an answer to every man that asks us a reason of the hope that is within us with meekness and fear. If they still need further counseling, direct them to the Pastor.

It is imperative to worship God in both in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24) We must love God and love people. When we love God, we follow his word and we also must show his love to the peo- ple around us.

In conclusion, I am thankful that I have a Pastor that is a willing and able watchman for my soul. When he has to give account for me, I want him to do with joy and not with grief. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 5:18, Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. I want to thank Pastor Miraflor for his min- istry to me and to The Life Church.

Pacific Coast Camp (PCC) is an Apostolic summer youth camp for the whole family. It is held each June on the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, California.

PCC is the vision of a group of concerned Apostolic pastors to promote spiritual growth and maturity for the entire family. Camp activities are designed to address the needs of young people, ages 7-25 that have never been married and have no children.

Please join us this year, June 17-22, 2018, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds for another great Camp. The Camp evening evangelists will be Jonathon Alvear, from Conyers, GA. The day evangelists will be Ron Garrett, Glendale, AZ. We are looking forward to PCC 2019!

PACIFIC COAST CAMP operates as a youth and family camp meeting combination.
The youth camp is open to young people between the ages of 7 – 25 years, single, never married, no children. It will operate as customary: campers will be placed in groups according to their ages. Each youth attending the camp will lodge in the facilities provided. Other arrangements may be made if deemed necessary by the camper’s pastor. These arrangements should be communicated by the pastor to the camp principal, and the camp principal will make the final determination.

For youth campers, meals are included in registration fee.

Private portable showers will be provided for everyone lodging on campus.

The pastor, assistant pastor or a minister approved by the pastor from the local church needs to be present at camp for any young people from that church to be in attendance.

Those outside the youth camp age (parents, small children and others) may stay on-site in tents or RVs, or in nearby hotels.

Non-campers may purchase meals for $60.00 (fifteen meals).

RV’s:
