God's Protection

Praise the Lord Church. I want to thank God and the prayers of the saints for his ongoing protection on me through the years. As it says in Psalms 91 “My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”

As a church body we form a protective wall around ourselves. When a sister or brother is down, sick, or has a situation in their lives, what do we do? PRAY, PRAY and Pray!!!! God hears the prayers of his people.

Many times in prayer, I have heard Pastor shout out individuals' names in prayer, and I believe it goes straight to Gods ears. I have seen other individuals call out names in prayer and lay hands on people and it makes me feel very safe in the protection of God!

Sometimes we take prayer for granted and God’s protection for granted, as I did once in my life. Leaving the protection of God’s house can be an extremely bad choice for us. The world is a very dark place. There is no stability and certainly no respect.

I remember finding myself in a very desperate situation with my young daughter who had a 104 fever. There in the middle of the night I prayed to God with my child in my arms. I asked God to get me out of my situation and heal my daughter, and within a few days everything had changed drastically. Praise God! The protection of God was still with me. There were probably individuals praying for me as in Romans 10:01 “Brethren my hearts desire and my prayer to God for them is their salvation”

How many more people may be in a desperate situation today as I was then. We need to be the light in this dark world. We need to forget just one minute about ourselves and think of others.

Week after week we have the same faces in Sunday School. Some of these children come totally by choice. Their parents don’t come but they trust us with their children. The reason they come is because they feel the protection of God. They know that God cares because our devoted Sunday School teachers teach them about God’s Protection. Nothing you do will be in vain. Every word you teach will stay in these children’s hearts.

Corinthians 15:58. “Knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain”.

In closing, I would like to wish everyone a very blessed month of thanksgiving. Remember all we do as a body never comes back void.
