As a word, our first thought maybe "oh November, celebration Pilgrim/ Native American feast and as of Puritan faith gave Thanks to God for Divine Providence.
We are still Pilgrims in this land, just a passing thru...Every day we can celebrate in the Lord through Thanksgiving. When first developing a prayer walk, the best practice I found was using the word ACTS. Phil 4:6 "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God." that is Adora- tion, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. Recently Thanksgiving to God was manifested by His mercy and grace to a family member in a life/ death circumstance. Faith in God was established in them through God's drawing and touch upon their condition. Thanks be to God. Eph 5:20 "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1Thes 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." Next time you get to thanksgiving take the time to see what God has really done for you, even our (church body) and that can lead to more Thanksgiving and Praise to God. Show thanks to one another, many times that makes a difference in someone's life. As a church we have much to be thankful for, the Bride of Christ. There is so much to thank God about. I'm thankful for Men of God who preach truth. Our God is sovereign, does not change, the same today, yesterday, forever. Thank You JESUS.
