In a hectic, fast paced world, timing is everything. We go here and there, we set aside time for this or that. Recently a jobsite superintendent told me, “I don’t have time to open every cabinet drawer and inspect”. Whereas this comment seems odd to most, the company I work for builds and manages luxury apartments that start at $2,500 for a studio and upwards of $20,000 for a three-bedroom. The point is when we expect tenants to pay this type of money per month, construction must take the time to open every cabinet, to ensure everything is complete, works properly, clean, and “move-in ready”.

As Christians we are constantly busy with work, school, families, and of course church. 2 Timothy 3 talks about people living in the last days, these people make time for everything else except for what matters most (placing God first). Don’t be fooled, even Christians get caught up living a 2 Timothy 3 lifestyle. One of the devil’s greatest tactics is to get Christians so busy and caught up in frivolous stuff, that we make comments, ”I don’t have time to attend church eve-
ry Sunday and Wednesday”, “I don’t have time to pray”, the list goes on and on. Timing is everything, we must remind ourselves the reason we are here. Keep our focus, get our priorities right, and do a job well done. It’s vital we make time for what matters most - putting God first through prayer, Bible reading, church attendance and fast- ing.

On a side note, pastor has been teaching some of the greatest messages on Wednesday nights regarding Phari- sees. Take time for what matters most and show up!
