Brother Miranda's Thoughts

When I think about the 4th of July, 3 words come to mind: Patriotism, Freedom, and Liberty

Patriotism: The most patriotic man, ladies and gentlemen, is sometimes the man who goes in the direction he deems right, even when he sees half the world against him. It is the dictate of patriotism to sacrifice yourself if you think that is the path of honor and of duty. Do not blame others if they do not agree with you. Do not die with bitterness in your heart because you did not convince the rest of the world, but rather die happy because you believe you served your country by not selling your soul.

Freedom: Freedom is never free. Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, and the spirit of man. So, it must be daily earned and refreshed else, like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.

Liberty: Liberty is always dangerous but it is the safest thing we have. I thank God for my life; for all the beautiful 4th of July celebrations he has given me to enjoy, for the stars and stripes. May freedom forever fly, let it ring. Salute the ones who died, the ones who gave their life so we don’t have to sacrifice all the things we love.

Church, a real patriot is the fellow who gets a parking ticket and rejoices that the system works. You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every 4th of July with family, a picnic where kids throw frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten but it is patriotism.

George Washington states, “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible”. So I leave you with this scripture:

II Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Pacific Coast Camp & Junior Camp
Pacific Coast Camp (PCC) is an Apostolic summer youth camp for the whole family. It is held each June on the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, California.

PCC is the vision of a group of concerned Apostolic pastors to promote spiritual growth and maturity for the entire family. Camp activities are designed to address the needs of young people, ages 7-25 that have never been married and have no children.

Please join us this year, June 17-22, 2018, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds for another great Camp. The Camp evening evangelists will be Jonathon Alvear, from Conyers, GA. The day evangelists will be Ron Garrett, Glendale, AZ. We are looking forward to PCC 2019!

Before June 1st, the registration fee is $150. A minimum non-refundable deposit of $25 along with a completed registration form is required. The remaining balance of $125 may be paid at camp.

LATE/ON-SITE REGISTRATION FEE
After June 1st, registrations are accepted as late. Late/On-Site Registration fee is $175.

PACIFIC COAST CAMP operates as a youth and family camp meeting combination.
The youth camp is open to young people between the ages of 7 – 25 years, single, never married, no children. It will operate as customary: campers will be placed in groups according to their ages. Each youth attending the camp will lodge in the facilities provided. Other arrangements may be made if deemed necessary by the camper’s pastor. These arrangements should be communicated by the pastor to the camp principal, and the camp principal will make the final determination.

For youth campers, meals are included in registration fee.

Private portable showers will be provided for everyone lodging on campus.

The pastor, assistant pastor or a minister approved by the pastor from the local church needs to be present at camp for any young people from that church to be in attendance.

Those outside the youth camp age (parents, small children and others) may stay on-site in tents or RVs, or in nearby hotels.

Non-campers may purchase meals for $60.00 (fifteen meals).

Tents: $20.00 per night (only one tent per space)
RV’s:
$40.00 per night for full hook-up (electric/sewer/water)
