Bro. Provencio’s Thoughts

February is such an odd month. First of all, it’s the only month that has a letter we don’t pronounce which makes it hard for some people to spell. And then there is only 28 days when all the other months have 30 or 31. It’s not just one day less than the others, but two or three. How did February get such a bad deal? If February were a person, it might just start crying and have a good pity party. Poor me! What did I ever do to deserve this? Why can’t I be like all the other months? Have you ever felt like you were February?

It reminds me of Luke 6:22, “...when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil...” Sometimes we feel like even though we’re doing our best to do what is right, we’re being done wrong by everyone around us. Yet the beginning of this verse says that we’re blessed. We see why in verse 23, “Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven.” We’re reminded that we’re not living for a reward here in this life but in the life that is to come.

Almost every four years, this little month of February does something very special. It has a leap year and in doing so sets the whole calendar right. If it wasn’t for February, everything else would stray far off course. We too can rise to meet any challenge that comes our way in this leap year and have a positive effect on the world around us. Let’s remember all year long to “Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy!”

Pacific Coast Camp & Junior Camp
Pacific Coast Camp (PCC) is an Apostolic summer youth camp for the whole family. It is held each June on the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, California.

PCC is the vision of a group of concerned Apostolic pastors to promote spiritual growth and maturity for the entire family. Camp activities are designed to address the needs of young people, ages 7-25 that have never been married and have no children.

Please join us this year, June 17-22, 2018, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds for another great Camp. The Camp evening evangelists will be Jonathon Alvear, from Conyers, GA. The day evangelists will be Ron Garrett, Glendale, AZ. We are looking forward to PCC 2019!

LATE/ON-SITE REGISTRATION FEE
After June 1st, registrations are accepted as late. Late/On-Site Registration fee is $175.

PACIFIC COAST CAMP operates as a youth and family camp meeting combination.
The youth camp is open to young people between the ages of 7 – 25 years, single, never married, no children. It will operate as customary: campers will be placed in groups according to their ages. Each youth attending the camp will lodge in the facilities provided. Other arrangements may be made if deemed necessary by the camper’s pastor. These arrangements should be communicated by the pastor to the camp principal, and the camp principal will make the final determination.

For youth campers, meals are included in registration fee.

Private portable showers will be provided for everyone lodging on campus.

The pastor, assistant pastor or a minister approved by the pastor from the local church needs to be present at camp for any young people from that church to be in attendance.

Those outside the youth camp age (parents, small children and others) may stay on-site in tents or RVs, or in nearby hotels.

Non-campers may purchase meals for $60.00 (fifteen meals).

Tents: $20.00 per night (only one tent per space)
RV’s:
$40.00 per night for full hook-up (electric/sewer/water)
